Latest from Bob & Al Ring
In July, 2008 we finished our third book, Detour to the California Gold Rush: Eugene Ring’s Travels in South America,California, and Mexico, 1848-1850, our great grandfather’s exciting memoir. We now have over 9,000 pages and 25,000 photos on this website. More to come.
Recent additions to the website include:
Under “Al’s Projects,” we have added another 16
sections to Al’s high school, Waggener High School.
Under “Bob’s Projects,” we added his September, 2008 “Gym Rat Rantings” article, “Hang on to those Family Treasures,” and a research paper entitled, “The History of the Staples Rug – A Remarkable, Oversized, Two-Faced Navajo Weaving.”
As 2008 continues, we will be adding more in all categories. The “buttons” below show our current long range plan for each of our “projects.”
Helpful hint for contacting us on our books and mining history projects: Bob does most of the writing and Al does most of the research. Tallia Cahoon has done most of the subject interviews and oral histories.
