Detour to the California Gold Rush: Eugene Ring’s Travels in South America,
California, and Mexico, 1848-1850 , our great grandfather's exciting memoir.
In 2009 we continued with research on our projects,
writing column’s, and keeping up with family history.
We now have over 17,000 pages, 49,000 photos and 51 videos on this website. More to come.

Helpful hint for contacting us on our books and mining
history projects: Bob does most of the writing and Al does most of the research.
Tallia Cahoon has done most of the subject interviews and oral.
